Un estudio publicado en &#8216;American Journal of Preventive Medicine&#8217; sugiere que el ritmo ideal es de 3.000 pasos en media hora<\/a><\/strong><\/big><\/P><\/p>\n<p>FUENTE: El Mundo Digital (18\/03\/2009)<br \/>Autor:   Cristina de Martos<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para cuantificar la intensidad de la actividad f\u00edsica los especialistas emplean una unidad llamada MET (equivalente metab\u00f3lico), que se corresponde con la energ\u00eda que gasta por hora una persona que est\u00e1 en reposo y equivale aproximadamente a una calor\u00eda por kilo de peso. En funci\u00f3n del<big><strong><a title=\" OZONO Bienestar y Salud\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ozono21.com\/sectores-pagina\/empresariales\/salud-bienestar-belleza\/7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> consumo cal\u00f3rico, el ejercicio se clasifica en leve (de uno a tres METs), moderado (de tres a seis) y fuerte (por encima de seis).<\/a><\/strong><\/big><\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El problema es que \u00abhay pocas herramientas v\u00e1lidas disponibles para el p\u00fablico que midan el grado de intensidad de ejercicio\u00bb, explican lo autores. \u00abMuchos individuos tienen dificultades para medir el vigor con el que entrenan cuando leen o escuchan una descripci\u00f3n de c\u00f3mo deber\u00edan sentirse en cada caso.<big><strong><a title=\"Vitale21\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ozono21.com\/producto\/generador-ozono-vitale21\/27\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Esto supone un reto porque los beneficios para la salud dependen de la intensidad de la actividad\u00bb, a\u00f1aden.<\/a><\/strong><\/big><\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En busca de una forma sencilla de calcular el ritmo adecuado de entrenamiento, este grupo de investigadores prob\u00f3 la utilidad del pod\u00f3metro, un aparato que mide el n\u00famero de pasos. Seleccionaron a 97 adultos de origen latino (39 hombres y 58 mujeres) y los pusieron a caminar sobre una cinta mientras monitorizaban su respiraci\u00f3n y su frecuencia cardiaca para estimar los METs que consum\u00edan.<\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para un ejercicio de 3 METs, los hombres deb\u00edan llevar una cadencia de 102 pasos por minuto y las mujeres de 106, aunque con importantes diferencias entre unos individuos y otros. De hecho, \u00abel principal hallazgo de este trabajo -subrayan sus autores- es que existe un considerable margen de error al utilizar el pod\u00f3metro para medir los METs al caminar en la cinta\u00bb.<\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abNo obstante, los autores creen que sus hallazgos<big><strong><a title=\"Vitale21\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ozono21.com\/producto\/generador-ozono-vitale21\/27\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> apoyan las recomendaciones de caminar al menos 3.000 pasos en media hora cinco d\u00edas a la semana\u00bb, concluye el trabajo. Este ejercicio se puede distribuir tambi\u00e9n en tres sesiones diarias de 10 minutos y 1.000 pasos cada una.<\/a><\/strong><\/big><\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abEl uso de una gu\u00eda simple basada en el uso del pod\u00f3metro, que es f\u00e1cil de recordar y medir, podr\u00eda ser m\u00e1s eficaz a la hora de que el m\u00e9dico se lo transmita al paciente\u00bb, ha explicado Simon J.
