Los autores creen que en el futuro se podr\u00e1n cultivar microalgas de la misma forma que hoy se hace con cualquier verdura u hortaliza.<\/a> <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><\/P><\/p>\n<p>Fuente: consumer (28 marzo 2011)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Canarias \u00abes un referente mundial\u00bb en la materia porque hay grupos de investigaci\u00f3n que trabajan con algas desde hace 20 a\u00f1os, tanto desde la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria como desde el Banco Nacional de Algas y la instituci\u00f3n a la que representa, creada en 1993, destac\u00f3 el director de la divisi\u00f3n de I+D del ITC, Gonzalo Piernavieja. El clima de las islas es \u00f3ptimo para las microalgas, ya que su alimento b\u00e1sico es el sol y el di\u00f3xido de carbono.<\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><BIG><strong><a target=\"_blank\" title=\"Ozono en la Acuicultura \" href=\"https:\/\/www.ozono21.com\/sectores-pagina\/industriales\/acuicultura\/19\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Convencido de que la agricultura del futuro ser\u00e1 de \u00abbata blanca\u00bb y que esta v\u00eda aportar\u00e1 valor al sector primario, Piernavieja afirm\u00f3 que se podr\u00edan cultivar microalgas como hoy se cultivan tomates<\/A><\/strong><\/BIG>, algo que ya se hace a peque\u00f1a escala en un invernadero de 1.200 metros cuadrados en las instalaciones que el ITC tiene en Pozo Izquierdo, al sureste de Gran Canaria.<\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><BIG><strong><atitle=\"Ozono en la Acuicultura\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.ozono21.com\/sectores-pagina\/industriales\/acuicultura\/19\/\"> En la investigaci\u00f3n sobre estos cultivos de microalgas invierten las grandes empresas energ\u00e9ticas como:<\/A><\/strong> Repsol, Endesa, Acciona e Iberdrola<\/BIG>, a las que, entre otros centros de investigaci\u00f3n espa\u00f1oles, asesora el ITC, porque a partir de \u00e1cidos grasos de determinadas microalgas sus investigadores han logrado producir biodi\u00e9sel.<\/P><\/p>\n<table
